Sports marketing specialist creates PR campaigns

Harriet Rochester Sports Marketing (HRSM) has been tasked with creating several hard-hitting PR campaigns for a variety of clients, including Racing for Change.

The body responsible for broadening the appeal of British horseracing briefed HRSM to promote the social side of Royal Ascot.

HRSM created a photo story celebrating 100 years of Royal Ascot fashions, resulting in coverage in the 'Times' fashion supplement and website.

In addition, publisher Write First Time tasked HRSM with launching its book the 'Masters of Manton', which documents the history of the Wiltshire racing stable.

As well as developing a website for the book, HRSM arranged features and interviews on BBC regional television, Channel Four and BBC Radio, along with a triple-page spread in 'Wiltshire life' and reviews in the national media.

Newbury Racecourse has extended its PR contract with HRSM.

The sports marketing consultancy delivered the racecourse's marketing plan during 2009 to early 2010 and since April it has continued to provide PR support to the horseracing and events areas of the business.
