Howard Hunt runs rapid launch for Virgin Media
Howard Hunt Group, the UK's largest independent print and direct mail company, has successfully completed a multimillion production for the high-profile launch of Virgin Media on 8 February.
As part of the two-week project, Howard Hunt Group provided not only printing and production, but also deployed its new creative consultancy service to work in conjunction with Rapier on the design of the mailer, distributed to 7.5 million existing ntl Telewest customers.
It was imperative that the process was completed within two weeks, in order for Virgin Media to inform its customer base of the impending change.
Virgin Media was formed following ntl Telewest's earlier acquisition of Virgin Mobile.
The company offers bundles of up to four entertainment and communication services including digital television, broadband and fixed and mobile telephony, making it the first "quadplay" operator in the UK.
"Having worked with Telewest and Rapier for the past four years, we were delighted to be approached for this project," said Luke Pigott, managing director of Howard Hunt Group.
"We were able to use all aspects of the business, from creative consultancy to production and fulfilment, to ensure that the time scale was hit and an innovative concept was produced.
"Howard Hunt Group was our choice to manage the huge diversity and complexity of this campaign," said Di Collino, senior production manager at Virgin Media.
"As mailings go, they don't come much bigger, both in terms or profile and words.
"Not only does the end product look great, but we are also managing to communicate with our customers in a fashion befitting the brand.".
