Gyro expands with Cicero takeover
Manchester-based integrated marketing agency Cicero will become one of the largest agencies in North England as it becomes known as Gyro International.
With clients such as Samsung, BUPA and Alliance and Leicester, Cicero recorded revenues of over GBP7 million in 2006 and is set to boost Gyro International's bottom line by a minimum of 10 per cent.
Specialising in B2B below-the-line media planning and direct marketing, Cicero's expertise in the automotive and biotech markets will also expand Gyro's experience into these key vertical sectors.
Already the world's largest scientific society, the American Chemical Society, has contracted Gyro to launch a coast-to-coast marketing campaign in the US, following a joint pitch with Cicero.
Gary Brine, Group Chief Executive of Gyro International, commented: "As a result of the integration, Gyro International is now one of the largest marketing networks in Manchester and we will be aggressively competing against the other major marketing networks operating out of the whole of the North West.
"This is just the tip of the growth iceberg - to realise Gyro's full potential we must continue to grow both organically and through acquisitions.
"Therefore we are currently in the process of speaking with a number of other companies both in the UK and internationally".

Gyro acquired Cicero in March 2007 for an undisclosed sum.
