SanDisk choose Green Room Retail for tech show.

A Green Room Retail Design product story
Edited by the Marketingservicestalk editorial team Aug 29, 2007

Technology producer SanDisk has chosen retail design consultancy Green Room Retail Design to create consumer product displays for Gitex, the technology exhibition held annually in the Middle East.

Working with Sandisk's channel marketing agency and in-house product designers, GRR has formulated a full range of retail POP display systems in an extremely short time.

The range of products covers the full digital spectrum so the design criteria became very complex in terms of delivering a transportable, flexible and visually appealing display.

The components include memory cards, USB, amateur and professional photography kit, mobile phones and the Sansa, which is a stylish competitor to the iPod.

The design and development team at Green Room Retail worked intensively to produce an ambitious range of complementary units that include a combination of Tegometal shelving, light box areas, lecterns and full plasma walls which interlock to create five carefully defined showcase areas.

The exhibition runs from the 8-12 September at The International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai.

GRR will install the exhibition on the 7 September and will also be on hand throughout the show to ensure the flawless finish to the SanDisk stand.

Richard Ash, MD of Green Room Retail, said: "It has been an absolute honour for us to be asked to collaborate on this project with SanDisk.

"Gitex provides key exposure in terms of Middle Eastern business solutions, IT and consumer products market.

"It is fantastic that our exhibition units, which have been completely designed and manufactured locally in Birmingham, will reach such a prolific and rapidly growing new audience".

This latest project with SanDisk builds upon GRR's previous award-winning work with Sony, Vodafone, Blackberry and Motorola and will give them a powerful global platform to catch the eye of other potential new clients.

The Middle East was specifially cited around a year and a half ago as a new target market for Green Room Retail's expansion and it is really good news that this has come to fruition so quickly.
