Gratterpalm has been appointed by Ossett Brewery to design new creative corporate branding to coincide with the opening of the brewery's first city centre venue in Leeds.

The creative features in the Hop on branded elements such as pump clips, beer mats, and bar towels.

With its new venue combining live music with real ale, Ossett Brewery wanted its brand to better reflect its growing reputation in this sector.

It briefed Gratterpalm to modernise its brand, enhance its professional look and feel, and bring consistency across its portfolio of products, venues and corporate material.

The agency has unified the brewery's branded elements under the tag line 'the real ale revolution', which was brought to the fore in strong typography.

The existing logo was simplified to have more standout, while retaining the heritage of the brand, and new corporate literature, including stationery and leaflets, has been created.

The brewery's five permanent cask ales have been updated with new graphic designs that appear on the pump clips and beer mats.

In addition, beer bottle labels for the brewery's Excelsior and Treacle Stout, sold in supermarkets, have been redesigned.
