Green Graphics offers eco-friendly printing

Green Graphics is a new print company set up to offer clients an environmentally friendly large-format print service.

Whether or not you think the latest focus on carbon footprints, greenhouse gas emissions and recycling are misguided or hysterical, the fact of the matter is that the Government has signed up to the EU Landfill Directive, which encourages us all to recycle more by annually increasing the duty on what goes to landfill.

Therefore it makes sense to use more recyclable products, which is where Green Graphics can help.When you are planning your next in-store promotion, exhibition, conference our other marketing activities to promote your products you can attract more attention with large-format, eye-catching graphics printed on one of our display systems made from recycled material, and printed with solvent-free aqueous-based inks.

At the end of your promotion, you can put the whole system down the paper and card recycling route.

Being green doesn't mean compromising on benefits.

Our preferred substrate is a rigid recycled honeycomb board manufactured by Dufaylite, a local company to us.

Honeycomb board is renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio so our display systems made from this board are lightweight, easy to erect and easy to relocate.

You avoid any lifting strains when using these systems.

Furthermore, as the board is directly printable there is no requirement for any heavy supporting framework.

Like you, we operate in the real world and recognise that it may take time for many organisations to switch from preferred and established materials, and that paper and card are not suitable for every application.

To this end we will print on non-recycled or non-recyclable materials such as widely used foam boards, foamed PVC, acrylic and so on, for external applications or when this is specifically requested by the customer.

However, we will always try to advise on more eco- friendly substrates that are available on the market today.

From our new site in Bedfordshire we have invested in the latest digital print technology with the acquisition of an eight-colour flat-bed printer, which combines speed and accuracy, so that large-format graphics can be provided to you with a quick turnaround without compromising on quality.

In addition we are also installing a six-colour eco-solvent printer for use on flexible media, together with a range of machines for creasing, milling and graphic-cutting facilities.
