Global Marketing Network is the world's newest professional membership organisation for the marketing community.
GMN aspires to become the world's leading professional marketing body by 2012.
Its objectives are two-fold: first, to raise standards within the marketing profession across the world and to ensure that wherever marketers are in the world, at whatever level of their development they are supported, nurtured and developed to become leading business professionals; secondly, to ensure the discipline of marketing is firmly at the heart of business.
GMN's objective is to deliver a globally relevant professional membership and development organisation that is both intent on raising global standards but also actively encourage and inspires marketers to 'raise their game' in the interests of their organisations, their peers, their profession and themselves.
GMN is bringing together marketers, entrepreneurs and business leaders to learn, connect and establish new thinking, ideas and strategies, to share best practice in global marketing practices, connect people from different countries and enable them to share new insights and ideas more effectively.
Over the next 12 months Global Marketing Network will be working towards several objectives.
* Enabling people to become members of GMN and join a global online and offline community of marketing and business professionals with access to practical branding, marketing, and strategic advice to develop their capabilities, grow their business and attract more, profitable customers.
* Launching its 2008 Marketing Management Series consisting of 1-day and 2-day programmes led by the leading voices in marketing, people who are widely acclaimed as leading experts in their fields, first and foremost distinguished academicians from some of the world's leading business schools, skilled educators, researchers, authors and entrepreneurs - and, vitally, they are all people who remain close to the real world through their extensive personal involvement as board members and consultants.
* Developing a new global marketing programme for mid-to-senior level executives, a new programme led by some of today's leading global marketing experts - designed to keep marketing and business professionals up-to-date and enhance their skills and capabilities in today's increasingly complex and turbulent global environment.
* Extending its reach to overseas markets and in particular in Asia and the Middle East with the development and launch of a range of certification and executive development programmes.
GMN is the Supporter of the 2007 Marketing Week Effectiveness Awards and in line with its objective of ensuring that marketing is represented in the boardroom it is delighted to be judging and awarding the Chief Executive Award for Marketing.
