Feed Manager maximises product visibility online
Gillissa has developed Feed Manager, a simple outsourced system for listing and updating products on all major UK product comparison websites in one step.
Marketing agencies are missing out on additional revenue by failing to provide adequate services to help retail clients get products visible on major product-listing sites, according to the company.
With reports suggesting that year to date, the UK e-retail market has grown 14 per cent and that average household spending has reached almost GBP1,000 per year online, many marketing agencies could be missing a trick by failing to maximise how visible their clients' products are online.
Richard Wood, managing director of Gillissa and founder of Feed Manager, said: 'The market is now flooded with product comparison sites but we are finding that many of the listings do not have the correct price or stock availability, which can be damaging for the brand when they fail to deliver what the customer is expecting.
'Couple this with the fact that sites such as Amazon have a very strict policy when it comes to listings and protecting their customer's experience, brands could be putting themselves in a vulnerable position if their product feeds are not kept up-to-date,' Wood added.
Feed Manager can be used by retailers either directly or alternatively marketing and advertising agencies can offer it to their clients as an additional service.
This system can save retailers and agencies days or weeks of management and development time to set up and maintain listings on product comparison sites and help get products in front of more online shoppers quickly and effectively.
Feed Manager has the ability to adapt the data it receives from the retailer and use it for whatever purpose the retailer needs.
It also keeps stock levels up-to-date online, something that, if overlooked, can cost retailers dearly when it comes to reputation and credibility.
