Cottrills devises gift scheme for phone retailer

A Cottrills product story

Cottrills has devised an employee Christmas gift scheme for Carphone Warehouse Group.

The company's brief included: a Christmas gift per employee at a predetermined price point; a brochure featuring a selection of 20-30 gifts; a bespoke website including a welcome message, branded to Carphone Warehouse Group and featuring an online ordering facility and feedback form; and gift delivery to recipients.

Once the collection of gifts had been approved by the directors, the bespoke brochure was printed reflecting the Carphone Warehouse Group corporate identity and illustrating each gift choice.

Cottrills then received an Excel spreadsheet, detailing the name and home address of each of the 13,500 eligible Carphone Warehouse Group employees.

To ensure the scheme was launched in time for Christmas, a pack was mailed out immediately to each employee upon receipt of this data.

This included the gift brochure, order form, freepost envelope and a personal letter, including log-in details, from Carphone Warehouse Group's chief executive officer.

Once the orders were received and processed, the Christmas gifts were then despatched to each employee, to either their home or work address, within the time frame specified by Carphone Warehouse Group.
