Fuse8 website offers free BA flights to UK firms

A Fuse8 product story

Fuse8, a Leeds marketing consultancy, has developed a website that will offer GBP15m of free British Airways flights to small firms in the UK to help them increase foreign sales.

Fuse8 worked with the Government's international business development organisation UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and British Airways (BA) to create the site.

It is hoped the initiative will help UK business-owners travel abroad to visit foreign trade fairs and create commercial opportunities by meeting potential clients in person.

BA has offered 4,000 international return flights to UKTI for its UK-based SME customers.

Minister for Trade and Investment, Lord Davies of Abersoch, said: 'Exporting companies are more competitive and resilient, yet many SMEs can find it hard to break into new markets on their own.

'They overestimate the barriers and underestimate the rewards of exporting to key markets.

'This generous offer by British Airways significantly reduces the costs faced by UK exporters, allowing them to explore their overseas expansion potential.

The initiative is designed to support UK SMEs relatively new to exporting or establishing themselves in new markets, working with UKTI as part of its strategy to develop business internationally.

Fuse8's services include strategy, web development, search engine optimisation (SEO), design, advertising, public relations and media buying.

Clients include: law-firm Gordons, Miele, Storm Watches and sustainable-community developer Bioregional Quintain.
