Business directory unveils photosearch feature

A Freeindex product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Jul 4, 2008

As of this week, if you visit FreeIndex.co.uk, you can search exclusively for businesses that have added photos of previous work, products, premises and staff.

Browse and search the entire directory just by looking at these images using a new display option called 'View Type'.

From a 'search' point of view it means that, given time, these images will be indexed by Google and will offer a new way for potential customers to find the service they require.

Since the PhotoBook feature was launched on FreeIndex at the beginning of the year, over 52,000 images have been added by companies featured on the site.

Photobook is an extremely popular feature among businesses and site users alike: the addition of Photosearch improves usability for visitors and is further incentive for registered businesses to ensure they've uploaded the best possible images to their Photobook, as this could be the first thing future clients see.

And, like everything on FreeIndex: the service is FREE.

Everyone at FreeIndex HQ is excited about the launch of Photosearch: it's completely unique to FreeIndex - indeed none of the other directories offer a similar facility.

Photosearch is extremely useful, particularly within creative categories like photography and web design, when a quick one-page scan of condensed portfolios will really speed up the decision-making process.

Everything on the FreeIndex site is completely FREE to UK businesses so if you haven't signed up already you can register now and put your business (and images) in front of over 600,000 visitors a month.
