How to run a successful incentive programme
Keith Herman, Managing Director of travel, lifestyle and leisure incentives and rewards specialist Fresh Rewards, describes the key elements to consider before embarking on a campaign.
"However, despite this statistic, and the government's pledge to ensure that all children can swim at least 25m unaided at primary school age, a recent survey by the Times Educational Supplement found that one in three primary children leaves school without mastering the most basic of swimming skills.
"It was these statistics that triggered the idea to create a Free Swimming Lesson offer; the basic aim of this lesson is to help children build their confidence and encourage water safety.
"Group classes are held on a weekly basis and involve a warm-up, structured lesson, then a warm-down, which incorporates games to add a fun element to the class; the instructors all work to an agreed set lesson plan so the high standard of teaching is the same throughout the country.
"The beauty of this incentive is that it not only gives children the opportunity to try out a class for free but once they have had their lesson they will be guaranteed a place on the course, if they wish to continue, thereby avoiding any waiting lists.
"This incentive is perfect for child-related products - particularly children's healthy foods such as fun-size fruit and natural drinks - where there is perfect synergy between the incentive and the product.
"We are delighted to be working in partnership with Swimtime UK and as thoughts turn to summer holidays we are anticipating that this incentive will be well received by both our clients and their customers".
As with all of Fresh Rewards products, this Free Swimming Lesson incentive is available as an off the shelf product or it can be designed to complement the brand's image.
It can also be combined with other Fresh Rewards' kid-related incentives such as Fun Days Out and Kids Eat Free to give a bumper incentive package that would keep even the most demanding of children entertained - for less - during the long summer holidays.
