Fortune Cookie wins CIPR Award for
Diabetes UK
Digital design agency Fortune Cookie and its client Diabetes UK collected the Best Website award at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Excellence Awards.
The CIPR Excellence Awards recognise and reward best practice in public relations throughout the UK and acknowledge achievement at the highest professional level "We are absolutely thrilled to have won such a prestigious award - to be recognised amongst our peers is testament to the creativity and innovation behind our website", said Amanda Neylon, Website Manager, Diabetes UK

Fortune Cookie designed and built the website on behalf of Diabetes UK.
Fortune Cookie's Managing Director, Justin Cooke, said: "Since Fortune Cookie redesigned the site, online donations have increased, awareness of Diabetes UK has increased and the number of people with diabetes helped by the information on the site has increased.
"This award proves that websites can be engaging, informative and user-friendly and can deliver excellent return on investment".
Since the site was redesigned by Fortune Cookie, the average length of time visitors spend on the site has doubled and awareness of Diabetes UK has increased by 5% (MORI).
More than 150,000 people now access the site every month.
The CIPR Excellence Awards judging process is rigorous and involves two stages; each entry was shortlisted on the basis of a written submission, then shortlisted entrants faced an interview with a panel of CIPR judges.
Fortune Cookie redesigned and built the Diabetes UK website in September 2006; The Times ranked the site one of the top five charity websites (Times Online 4 November 2006), while a review of the site published by Third Sector magazine gave it a score of 18/20 (11 October 2006).
