Fonda creates identity for Royal College
of GPs
The Royal College of General Practitioners has launched a new visual identity and guidelines for the use of its staff, created by branding specialist Fonda.
Gillian Watson, public relations manager of the RCGP, said: "The identity was last reviewed six years ago - we needed to adapt the identity to work effectively in new media and to create guidelines that will ensure the College is presented in a consistent way in a wide range of local, national and international media "Fonda was chosen on the strength of its track record in this area
"The new identity uses the name of the College and its blue colour with a new symbol created from the letters RCGP".
Paul Fox, managing director of Fonda, said: "The challenge of updating the College's identity was a particularly exciting one; like many organisations that have experienced expansion, the condition of the identity has lagged behind.
"The need to balance the best of the past while looking to the future, was an absorbing task.
"The project benefited from our experience working with other health organisations including the Department of Health, the British Acupuncture Council, Kidney Research UK and the James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer".
The new identity is now being gradually implemented across all applications, beginning with the website.
Fonda is a London-based design agency with specialist expertise in brand identity creation and management, corporate reviews and marketing communications.
Its clients include the Department of Health, the British Acupuncture Council, Kidney Research UK and Ealing Council.
