The Special One's departure from Chelsea Football Club has inspired the UK workforce to start looking for their ideal jobs.

The UK's leading job search website fish4jobs has revealed that, in aftermath of Jose Mourinho's departure on Wednesday 19 September, 179,263 job searches were carried out on the site, almost 11,000 more than the same period in the previous week - an increase of 6 per cent Fish4 Chief Executive Joe Slavin said: "Our statistics show that 'the Mourinho Effect' has also been felt amongst the UK employment market

"We often find that big news events can have a direct impact on searches on the site as they act as a catalyst among workers to start looking for their ideal job.

"Jose Mourinho has had a profound impact on football in the UK.

"Our statistics show that jobseekers have been equally touched.

"Now that he is looking for a new position, we'd certainly encourage him to use fish4jobs to start his hunt for a new job.

"fish4jobs is also experiencing a 'seasonal surge' whereby people returning from their summer holidays are devoting more and more time to job hunting via the site.

"Tuesday afternoons are the time when people are mostly likely to hunt for jobs online, but Jose's departure appears to have temporarily bucked that trend".
