Fast Track, one of the UK's leading sports events, communications, consulting and rights marketing agencies, has acquired Stuart Higgins Communications.

Led by the former editor of The Sun, Stuart Higgins, SHC offers strategic communications consultancy, activation services and public relations support for a wide range of clients that include Camelot, British Airways, Emap, Haymarket Publishing, National Express, Wasserman Media Group, Chelsea Football Club, Reading and Watford football clubs, Storm Model Agency as well as crisis management support for individuals and companies.

SHC will continue to work as a self-contained entity within the Fast Track London offices.

There will be considerable scope for collaboration on future projects.

Alan Pascoe, Chairman of Fast Track, said: "Fast Track will benefit hugely from Stuart's vast experience and contacts and we look forward to working with him on a range of projects in the future".

Commenting on the tie-up with Fast Track, Higgins said: "SHC's acquisition by Fast Track offers the company extra resource and exciting opportunities to grow the business through the contacts and expertise that exists within both Fast Track and the wider Chime Group".

It is envisaged that SHC will join forces with Fast Track at its London offices in February 2008.

The full SHC team, under the continued guidance of Higgins, will be making the move.
