Heineken, the premium continental bier, has a prestigious tradition in rugby and the association with 'the Rugby Reunion' represents another chapter in our history within the sport.

Heineken's involvement in rugby began in the latter part of the 1980s and in 1995 the company's association with the game increased significantly by becoming Official Partner to Rugby World Cup 1995.

Also in 1995, Heineken began sponsoring a new European club tournament, the Heineken Cup, which has grown in stature and is enjoyed by fans across the world as European club rugby's premier tournament.

Heineken returned to the Rugby World Cup family in 2003 as a Worldwide Partner and played an important role in ensuring that this was the most successful tournament to date.

Following this success, Heineken will once again be the Official Beer of Rugby World Cup 2007 in France, bringing support to this global festival of rugby.
