Packaging Show prepares to open doors
"Business, Innovation, Outlook" is the theme for the 38th edition of the Emballage World Packaging Exhibition, which will take place in Paris on 17-21 November 2008.
Emballage presents its new features for next year's show which will make the new edition even more internationally rich and relevant than the shows of years past The Pack.Vision symposium: at the heart of the issues of the packaging sector Pack.Vision, the 1st International Symposium of Packaging Design, will bring together the principal players generating innovation in packaging
Packaging manufacturers, brands, design agencies, and international consultants will be offering their know-how for a rich programme of 24 conferences during the trade show's five days.
Another new feature is that the Pack.Vision Symposium will be held in the center of Hall 6, the area dedicated to packaging and containers, and will welcome the sector's principal trade unions and organisations for the first time.
Moreover, admission to the symposium will be free for all the visitors to Emballage to obtain information, discuss, or simply discover the latest developments in the packaging world through its marketing, technical, and economic aspects and outlook.
(Preliminary program available in early 2008.) Trends Area: Showcasing innovation.
Among all the reasons that justify a visit to the exhibition, the discovery of new products is listed first by visitors.
With the Trends Area, Emballage puts innovation in a prominent place.
Located near the entrance to Hall 6, the Trends Area will showcase the most remarkable and representative new products (accessories, containers, machines, software) among the nearly 500 new products announced by exhibitors at each exhibition.
This concentration of innovation in the Trends Area will be a big draw for all visitors seeking an overview of the current and future packaging scene.
The Packaging Observatory: A unique barometer of the market.
On the initiative of the exhibition, the Packaging Observatory was inaugurated in December 2005 with the ambition of providing a tool for recurrent strategic and economic monitoring of the different sectors in France and their prospects.
Thanks to the involvement and support of principal trade unions and professional organisations, Emballage will reveal the results of its second survey on the principal challenges facing the sector up to 2010 in November 2007.
This overview is provided by manufacturers, machine manufacturers, and users with a rich collection of information.
Gold Meetings: customised business meetings for major buyers.
Gold Meetings is a new and ultra-targeted business appointment service designed to bring together buyers and sellers at the exhibition.
This customised service will enable French and international visitors with concrete projects to meet clearly targeted and relevant exhibitors, and in turn will allow exhibitors to benefit from extra business opportunities in return.
All these activities and new services offered with each new edition help to make Emballage a different and unique exhibition.
These special features have meaning and legitimacy because the exhibition is also, and above all, a place of business where the representation of suppliers has never failed to be complete.
Helping to prove this, 15 months before the show opens, nearly 60 per cent of the exhibition area of Emballage 2008 has already been reserved.
