EMS to promote Infinera in mobile exhibitions

An Event Marketing Solutions product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team May 4, 2009

Event Marketing Solutions (EMS) will deliver a two-year mobile marketing-campaign for Infinera, a US technology-company, to raise its profile in the global telecommunications industry.

Launching in May with an initial tour of 17 European countries, the six-figure two-year campaign is the biggest overseas project won by EMS to date.

Silicon Valley based Infinera has developed an optical networking technology that is making it quicker and easier to transfer large quantities of data through a digital network.

Infinera's optical systems contain Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) technology, which is already being used by major telecommunications carriers such as Carphone Warehouse Networks (TalkTalk) and Deutsche Telekom.

Infinera has already used mobile face-to-face marketing in the US, where it has increased brand awareness and sales, and is keen to repeat the success in Europe.

The Infinera European tour will operate onboard a branded 13.6-metre long mobile exhibition-unit.

Visitors will be able to carry out live network configurations onboard - witnessing first-hand the speed and simplicity of the product.

The vehicle will visit the headquarters of major telecommunications carriers by appointment and will visit neutral locations close to its customers' operations.

The tour will launch in Rome, Italy, on 19 May and will also visit: the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, the Czech Republic and Austria.
