High-end audio equipment brand Audio-Technica has replaced its attendance at a major UK trade exhibition with a sophisticated educational roadshow from Event Marketing Solutions.

Launching on 22 May, the three-week tour is a bold move to deliver a higher-quality, more targeted experience - including in-depth seminars on key industry issues - directly to the customer The roadshow will visit seven regional 'hotspots', carefully researched to ensure maximum customer reach within minimum driving time

A key objective is to save time and money for customers by delivering the experience directly to them.

Venues include luxury five-star hotels and stately homes, which will provide a stunning backdrop for the mobile display vehicle and create a calm environment to contrast with the typically noisy exhibition experience.

The roadshow - a first for Audio-Technica - replaces the company's usual attendance at the Professional Lighting and Sound (PLASA) technology show in London.

The tour has attracted a high-level of pre-registrations from customers using a dedicated website.

Audio-Technica Senior UK Marketing Manager Harvey Roberts said: "Audio-Technica is known for its innovative approach and we wanted to do something fresh and exciting in the way we present our products and know-how in 2008.

"We're also aware that our customers' time is precious - by taking Audio-Technica to our customers, we hope to make it as easy as possible for them to access all that we have to offer in terms of product innovation and advice".

Unusually, the roadshow will offer a twofold experience, with product training and hands-on sessions delivered on board the branded mobile vehicle and more in-depth seminars conducted inside the fixed venue.

The glass-fronted vehicle is one of the largest in EMS' fleet.

At 13.6m long, it has been divided into three zones highlighting different Audio-Technica product sets, as well as an informal seating and separate reception area.

A moveable partition wall will screen off the seminar area when these are held.

Justin Isles, EMS Account Director, said: "This is an ambitious and imaginative project that will deliver real value to Audio-Technica's customers and stand-out for the brand.

"The beauty of a mobile unit is that you can create a completely controlled environment that is finely attuned to delivering key brand messages.

"By adding a stunning venue to the mix, we will create a unique and memorable experience for the visitor".

The Audio-Technica 'Road to Success' roadshow launches on 22 May at Lingfield Park Racecourse and Golf Club, Surrey.

Other venues include Oulton Hall, Leeds - Yorkshire's only five-star hotel - and the stunning stately home of Hopetoun House, Edinburgh, where the tour concludes on 10 June.
