EMS wins electrical safety contract
The Electrical Safety Council has appointed Event Marketing Solutions (EMS) to run a major consumer roadshow highlighting the dangers of electricity in the home.
The project will involve the complete overhaul and re-fitting of the charity's existing roadshow vehicle to create a more compelling and interactive consumer experience Its current design is aimed more at an industry audience

RM roadshow takes technology to school gates
Leading education ICT provider RM has launched its first ever roadshow to showcase the latest, must-have hardware and software to schools and colleges across the UK.
The refurbished nine-metre vehicle will feature mock-ups of a kitchen and a student's/child's bedroom, highlighting potential danger spots such as overloaded plug sockets and electrical devices near water.
Interactive quizzes and a series of short films running on a plasma screen will complete the engaging, hands-on experience.
The roadshow will also aim to raise awareness of the role of the Electrical Safety Council, which as well as consumer safety advice promotes best practice in the electrical industry.
The mobile unit will tour county shows and UK town and city centres over a four-month period from May to August 2008.
EMS will project manage the refit of the vehicle and will manage all logistics and venue-booking for the roadshow.
Phil Buckle, Director of Charitable Affairs at the Electrical Safety Council, said: "By involving a professional partner, we want to increase the impact of our roadshow and educate more consumers about this vital area of public safety.
"Ensuring that our message is not clouded by technical jargon is one of our main aims and we were impressed by EMS' creative ideas for the campaign".
Keith Austin, Managing Director of EMS, said: "This will be a high-profile consumer safety campaign with the potential to prevent injury and even save lives.".
