Eventia conference to feature panels and workshops
Eventia's 2009 summer conference is set to take place at the Holiday Inn, Brighton, on 5-7 July.
The programme proactively addresses the issues, challenges and opportunities in the current global economic climate, and aims to provide all attendees with relevant and creative practical ideas for implementation in their individual work situations.
Eventia said the format for the programme maximises delegate participation through discussion groups, workshops, panel sessions and question and answer sessions.
Behavioural economist Roger Martin-Fagg will review the global economic prospects and outlines the shape of things to come for industry sectors and individual businesses.
Futurist Rohit Talwar will provide practical insights on what the events industry is doing to respond to current turmoil and develop appropriate business strategies.
A panel of experts will explain the rapid growth of the social media landscape and reveal how businesses and organisations can tap into the potential of blogs, Twitter and Facebook.
Rob Allen, chief executive of TRO, will share examples of businesses successfully adapting to, and winning in, the new economic landscape.
Interactive workshops will cover many subjects, including:
* Working with agencies: trends, updates, new business models;
* Destination innovation: case studies from Cardiff and north-west England;
* The hard stuff: the business building blocks that define 'fit for purpose' in a landscape driven by corporate procurement and wider corporate social responsibility (CSR) agendas;
* Measuring results: better evaluation equals better return on investment;
* How to connect with generations X and Y;
* CSR best practice and the Green Globe Index;
* Don't miss the gravy train: opportunities for 2012 and beyond;
* Enhancing your web visibility.
