Events site aims to be must-have resource

An Eventdomain.co.uk product story

A new website has been launched by Eventdomain designed to help people responsible for organising business or social functions or events.

Eventdomain.co.uk is the brainchild of entrepreneur Chris Given, who has spent the last five years researching all those UK companies that offer a service that could be needed by anyone organising an event - whether it is their company conference, a wedding or even a bizarre industry awards night.

Given's initial research produced hundreds of company names that fell into well over 50 categories.

As his research developed this grew rapidly to over 350 categories and thousands of companies.

"My aim is for eventdomain to be recognised as the number one must have information resource in the event industry," said Given.

"In fact, it is an essential work tool for all those who need an utterly reliable point of reference when planning a major event - especially if they may be feeling that, in terms of organising an event, they've been thrown in at the deep end".

Whether it is a corporate, social or entertainment-related occasion Eventdomain is a boon for all those organisers that have the task of finding the best venue, the most appropriate designer, a top photographer, or the promotional 'wizard' that everyone wants but whose diary is full until 2009.

With numerous categories and sub-categories, including anything and everything that may be needed for an event, navigation around the site could not be easier.

In addition to searching by category, Eventdomain enables the visitor to search by county and even location.

The site is launching with information covering the whole of England with plans to expand the content on the site to cover Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in 2008.

The most-comprehensive online reference resource for getting to know 'who's who' in the world of events is Eventdomain.

"It is the essential resource for event organisers everywhere," said Given.

His views are stated with the confidence of a man who has worked in the field of Events and Hospitality for a number of years.

"Eventdomain was really born out of frustration," admits Given.

"I was looking into websites and started searching through a number of them.

"None gave me the information I wanted or expected, but what did emerge was that the hiring of function rooms was 'big business'.

"This motivated me to look into the events market very thoroughly".
