e-Spirit drives global content consistency

Global companies can now develop, manage and distribute content more quickly and effectively, with the launch of FirstSpirit 4.0.

The new platform, which combines content integration with content management, gives enterprises the ability to provide accurate and consistent information across global sites.

This is because it includes automated database schemas and third-party portals providing global companies with the ability to integrate content from subsidiaries across multiple legacy systems and databases, quickly and easily.

It also gives companies the ability to publish content to multiple output channels, including portals (SAP Netweaver, IBM Websphere, Microsoft Sharepoint) and mobile devices via WML.

In addition, FirstSpirit 4.0 helps achieve regulatory compliance and improves corporate governance, by using powerful audit tools to enable companies to roll-back a website to a previous point in its evolution, providing a complete history of content including the exact references, external documents and datasources.

Any language can be supported by FirstSpirit 4.0, including non-roman character sets such as Arabic and Chinese.

The latest version also helps streamline localisation by tracking changes made in an original language (e.g English) and highlights the associated foreign language areas of the website that require translation and updates.

FirstSpirit 4.0 has been developed to support high performance, global websites and intranets, and can manage projects with one million pages and 1,500 editors simultaneously creating content from around the globe using web browser tools or Java-based clients.
