The countdown has started to a new exhibition focused specifically on autosport and aerospace engineering suppliers, Auto Aero Farnborough 08.

Auto Aero Farnborough 08 at Farnborough International Airport, Hampshire, 6-7 February 2008, will provide the perfect opportunity for high-performance engineering and technology suppliers to promote products and services to the extremely active UK autosport and aerospace market.

Auto Aero Farnborough 2008 is a spin-off from the highly successful Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show, an event with a ten-year pedigree.

Phil Valentine, managing director of organiser European Trade and Exhibition Services, explained the rationale behind the move to establish a separate event for those companies involved in aerospace and autosport: "Historically, a high percentage of visitors to the Southern Manufacturing show are involved in some way with aerospace and autosport.

"The South of England, particularly along the South Coast and the M4 corridor, has a high concentration of such enterprises.

"Creating a tailor-made event means we can deliver a highly focused marketplace for these businesses, and directly address the issues affecting them through special events like our free seminar programmes".

He continued: "The UK is still a world-leader in design and innovation, quality workmanship and precision engineering - Auto Aero Farnborough 08 will provide the perfect opportunity for these talents to be showcased to a thriving market".

Key product areas on display will include surface engineering and coatings, composites, low cost tooling, digital manufacture, engine components and assembly integration.

Auto Aero Farnborough 08 runs on 6-7 February 2008, alongside the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show, at the new FIVE exhibition facility at Farnborough International Airport, Hampshire.

Farnborough offers plentiful free car parking, superb access by road, rail or air, and an excellent selection of local hotels and restaurants.
