Creative thinking expert Simon Middleton will share his experiences and ideas on a wide range of issues that are key to business success in a creative thinking workshop on 18 March.

Simon Middleton is fast becoming one of the most respected experts on brand development and creative thinking On the evening of 18 March, Middleton will be holding a Creative Thinking Workshop at the Thames Innovation Centre in Erith

During this workshop he will share his thoughts, experiences and ideas; discussing a wide range of issues that are key to business success in today's highly competitive global economy.

Middleton's previous events have repeatedly attracted entrepreneurs, technologists, marketing and design professionals and managers in both the private and public sectors.

"I now travel all over the UK and Europe helping businesses of all kinds to become more innovative," said Middleton.

"I'm mainly working with these clients in the area of brand meaning and creative-thinking.

"What I'm learning is that creativity becomes increasingly important as each month passes, particularly as we enter a tough economic period.

"It's not the strongest who will survive but the most creative".

Although Middleton has helped to develop numerous consumer and business brands, he doesn't think or act like a conventional marketer and often describes his workshops as 'the antidote to conventional training sessions', hoping that they'll leave the audience stimulated and bubbling over with exciting approaches to creating a new future for their business or organisation (and even their own career).

Middleton runs a successful brand consultancy and jointly heads up one of East Anglia's leading marketing agencies.

"This is a unique opportunity to experience Simon's entertaining, informative and inspiring approach to creativity, marketing and doing business," said Robert Key, Marketing Co-Ordinator at the Thames Innovation Centre.

"We are very excited to be hosting this event; our aspiration for the Thames Innovation Centre and the wider Veridion Park is that it will be at the heart of creativity and business success within the Thames Gateway region.

"Having events such as this will help us achieve that goal and will benefit a wide range of local businesses and public organisations".

The Creative Workshop is a FREE event, open to all interested individuals, managers, entrepreneurs and would-be-entrepreneurs.

Tickets usually cost GBP22.50 per attendee for business organisations and GBP12.50 for charities and not-for-profit organisations, but on this occasion, the Thames Innovation Centre has negotiated a special deal to bring Middleton to the Thames Gateway for the evening.

Doors open 6.30 for 7pm, and there will be a chance to socialise after the workshop with free light refreshments.

However, delegates must book their free space in advance, by calling Philippa Toghill, Event Manager, on 020 8320 1000.
