Emoderation moderates kids' social network

An Emoderation product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Jul 2, 2010

Moderation and community management company Emoderation is working with kids' social network What's What to provide the site with moderation guidelines and out-of-hours moderation.

The What's What social network has been built with tough safety measures in place, including ultra-secure log-in system with biometric face recognition, live moderation of content, and grade separation, which allows children in the same grade, one above and one below to connect with each other.

The idea behind the network is to provide a fun and creative but ultimately safe and advertising-free online environment for children.

It aims to teach children how to behave online and use social networks safely.

What's What encourages parents to get involved too, providing a Parent Resource Centre that will help guide parents on how their children can stay safe online.

Emoderation is working with the What's What team to provide live moderation out of office hours, ensuring that all behaviour and content is kept appropriate for the 'tween' audience.

It is also providing What's What with consultation to make sure that its guidelines and terms of use are as safe as they possibly can be.
