New anti-vandal push button switches form the centrepiece of an extensive range of new metal push button controls introduced by Eledis, extending the vendor's reputation for affordable quality.

The EAV series anti-vandal switches are available in 12mm, 16mm and 19mm industry standard mounting diameters with contact ratings of 2A at 48Vdc and 5A at 250Vac Actuators can be domed, flat or raised

The EAV16-C and EAV-16G switches provide the additional option of concave buttons, raised or flat, with red, green, yellow, orange, blue or white coloured aluminium actuators available for the 16G.

The EMP series of metal push-button switches are designed for 250V AC applications, ranging from a 3A, 16mm fixing version, up to 19mm switches for 5A operation with a range of contact configurations both momentary and latching.

These new switches have silver alloy contacts and are supplied in three finishes: stainless steel with spiral finish, or satin finished brass with either nickel or gold plating.

Custom engraving can also be added to the actuator upon request.

As well as basic metal switches, there is a choice of dot or ring illumination from red, green, yellow, orange, blue or white LEDs.

Integral resistors allow illumination from 6Vdc to 250Vac supplies.

Pilot lamps are also available in anti-vandal format for 8 or 12mm diameter fixing.

Reliability specifications are for 1 million mechanical cycles and 50, 100 or 200,000 electrical cycles, depending on the model.

The switches are rated for extended temperature range of -20 to +70C.

Standard models provide IP67 protection against dust and water ingress, whilst anti-vandal models carry IP65 ratings.

All the new switches are RoHS-compliant.

Despite the wide range of options, Eledis metal push-buttons are available on fast turnaround, even with small quantities.

Samples are usually delivered in a week, and volume deliveries can be scheduled within four to six weeks of the order.
