E-consultancy has launched a one-day training course called Video for the Web, aimed at businesses wanting to develop richer customer experiences through the medium of online video.

The first Video for the Web course will be held in London on 30 September 2009.

The workshops will be run by Christian Payne, an experienced journalist in social media, citizen journalism, professional photography and audio and video podcasting.

The E-consultancy workshop combines practice and theory to ensure that delegates get a solid understanding of how to produce and disseminate video through online channels.

The course is aimed at marketing and PR professionals, bloggers and journalists who want to reach customers using video, and is suitable for all business sizes, across all sectors.

Delegates will learn the skills needed to present and produce their own web videos and ensure that they are distributed effectively and 'findable' for their audiences.

Craig Hanna, training director at E-consultancy, said: 'We know that creating engaging video creates a richer experience for customers, which in turn leads to better conversion rates.

'What we are now seeing is Google appreciating the value of this content and showing it in its search listings more and how video can be a core element of online PR and social media campaigns.
