The agency's major clients include United Biscuits, Budweiser, Sainsbury's, National Australia Group, Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank and Johnson and Johnson.
Like Dynamo and Catalyst, WAX Communications sits within Media Square.
The launch of WAX has been driven by a wish to create scale within the market place over the next three years, in line with overall Media Square strategy.
WAX Communications will offer the full range of marketing communications services.
The agency positioning revolves around "providing cut-through today, building relationships for tomorrow to help brands realise their value".
To do this, WAX Communications has developed a strategic approach which adds increased rigour to its planning and campaign development processes.
Marriott commented: "There is a strong synergy between both agencies and it makes complete sense to join together in this way.
"Moreover both Sam and I have wanted to rebrand and reinvigorate our businesses for a while.
"The arrival of Roger Parry at Media Square has been the enabler for us to do just this, putting us on a strong path for growth".
Jordan added: "The WAX moniker is a rally call; it represents a fusion and welding together of both agencies' complementary skills.
"This gives us a great opportunity to develop an agency at the leading edge of marketing communications in a marketplace where competition is stretched across the traditional agency categories.
Roger Parry, Executive Chairman of Media Square, added: "Media Square is committed to investing in its core businesses to secure scale and we're very pleased with the way in which WAX is lining up for growth; the managing partners at WAX Communications are steering the business on a course to become a leading UK agency developing highly effective marketing communications.".
