DMA Scotland champions industry
The Direct Marketing Association in Scotland will be showcasing the industry at a parliamentary reception to be held at Holyrood on 12 September 2007.
To be attended by MSPs, DMA members and business leaders, the parliamentary reception will provide a forum to raise awareness among politicians and the Scottish business community of the value of the direct marketing industry and the many initiatives that the DMA is fronting to address both consumer and environmental concerns Underlining the importance of the direct marketing industry to the Scottish economy, DMA Scotland will also be presenting the first ever Scottish Economic Impact research

Six teams of school pupils from across the UK have beaten off tough competition to take the top spot in the Young Direct Marketing Awards 2007 run by the Direct Marketing Association.
The research will reveal how many people are employed by the industry in Scotland and the extent to which direct marketing contributes to the Scottish economy.
DMA Scotland Chairman, Yvonne Balfour, said: "Direct marketing plays a key role within business in Scotland; as such, it is vital that we continue to educate and raise awareness of the work we are doing.
"By engaging with government and business we aim to promote trust and confidence to enable our industry to continue to thrive".
