Contact management database software updated
The latest version of Contacts!, Cruse Control's contact management database software, is now available.
New features in Contacts! Version 3.1 features include the following.
* New email settings area allows the flexibility of sending and receiving from different email accounts.
* Emails and attachments stored within the database, not hard drive folders.
* Easier access, when sharing emails and attachments with other users in your workgroup.
* Improvements on how you interact with attachments; open them and save them to other locations.
* Much simpler set up and ease of use.
* Other users no longer need to be connected to your machine in order to view email attachments.
* Preview attachments that you have linked to your email, prior to sending them.
* Number of database files further reduced.
* Apple Mac users can now use Intel Processor Macs natively.
* Latest version of the Mac OS X operating system, 10.5, Leopard, now supported.
Send HTML emails directly from your database.
* A simple yet powerful way to manage your contacts.
* Fully customisable - use it as it is, integrate it with your existing systems or customise it to suit your needs, either by yourself, your preferred developer or with Cruse Control.
* Help screens give on-screen advice from within the database to help you get up and running quickly.
* All information is searchable and reportable.
* User definable categories enable marketing information to be tracked and stored.
* Keep records of all letters, emails, faxes and phone calls, and even do mail merges.
* Email directly from the database.
* Notes pages are searchable too.
Other features include the following.
* Send HTML emails directly from the database.
* Choose to receive some or all emails directly into the database.
* View contact history by company as well as by individuals.
* Multiple categories for companies as well as individuals.
* Send single or multiple SMS texts directly from your desktop.
* Schedule/Diary facility - view your appointments/phone calls etc by day/week/month.
* Meeting Maker - invite others to a meeting, email them direct from the database, and they can confirm their attendance too.
* Direct links to websites - store multiple websites for any company and open these directly from the database.
* In addition to the "mail merge to letters" facility there is also a 'mail merge to emails' facility, allowing you to create individual emails to selected groups in your database.
A record of each email or letter is kept with the individual contact details so you can see who has received which mailing.
* Link any document (pdf, word etc) to a contact on the system for quick reference.
