Retail marketing agency gains strength
Retail marketing specialist Creo, established just nine months ago, has acquired leading print and POP manufacturer The Lauren Group.
The move brings Creo's annualised turnover up to GBP ten million and creates a new force in the POP market by uniting the creative and project management excellence of Creo with the world-class manufacturing facilities of Lauren.
Creo is now able to deliver to clients a flexible POP solution that maximises budgets, impact and effectiveness of their brands at the point-of-sale.
Creo's offering is based on three core services from which clients can select any combination to suit their specific requirements: creative; project management; and fulfilment.
The services will be managed and delivered using technology which clients can also customise to their own particular needs.
Creo's client list includes: Universal Pictures International, DeVere Hotels and Leisure, Bloomsbury Publishing and Fujifilm UK.
Richard Saysell, MD and co-founder of Creo, commented: "Creo stands out in an established market as having a radically fresh approach.
"At the heart of our offer lies creativity, integrity and value and the overwhelming desire to enable clients to hit their targets in the retail arena".
"We offer a working formula through which clients can actually save significant amounts of money on in-store marketing and get better results.
"With in-store compliance rates as low as 50-60 per cent, wastage in the industry is not only costly to clients but also to the environment.
"A reduction of this waste and its effect on the environment is central to our approach.
"It has always been part of our strategy to bring manufacturing and fulfilment in-house, and Lauren is a superb fit having the latest litho, screen and digital equipment.
"We could not be more delighted to have achieved this strategic milestone so soon after Creo's formation earlier this year.
"With decades of experience in delivering market leading campaigns for brands and retailers such as Disney, Gillette and Procter and Gamble, we intend to use our unique approach to build a UK market leading business within three years".
Tony Gray, Lauren's founder, commented: "We have been looking to join forces with a creative agency like Creo for some time; the timing is fantastic and I think our combined creative and manufacturing offer will be unrivalled in the marketplace".
