Crayon's new positioning centres around getting closer to the customer and understanding their total customer journey.
Clark will hold the position at Crayon in tandem with running his start-up brand marketing consultancy Onion.
Crayon's managing partner, Richard French, added: "Having Jonathan on board will help Crayon develop our business and brand in a more purposeful way.
"We have spent a good deal of time looking at our positioning and introducing more advanced business metrics to make sure we're running the business as efficiently as possible.
"The partners of Crayon have already recognised the impact Jonathan can make, so it's exciting times ahead for the agency".
