Another year of major growth for Code

A Code Computerlove product story
Edited by the Marketingservicestalk editorial team Feb 7, 2008

Full service digital marketing agency Code Computerlove is celebrating a bumper start to 2008 with four major account wins and a business growth record of 70 per cent.

It is also on a major recruitment drive as it gears up for another year of predicted growth.

Set up in 1999, during its seven and a half year history the Manchester-based business has enjoyed an average 25 per cent YOY growth.

But in 2007, Code set a new annual growth record of 70 per cent (GBP4m up from GBP2.35m in 2006).

The business is predicting another year of strong growth in 2008 as marketers continue to shift marketing spend away from traditional marketing methods into the digital arena.

Contributing to 2007's success was the creation of a new media and online marketing department from a standing start to billings of more than GBP1m - making them only one of the true full-service digital agencies in Manchester.

It also won 14 brilliant new clients including: Transpennine Express (First Group), moodboard - a new venture from Mike Watson Images, Booths, North West Fine Food, Neville Johnson, Morris Homes, VML, Travelbeam, Key Retirement Solutions, and Canterbury NZ.

But not only that, Code has also maintained fantastic digital partnerships with its long-term blue-chip clients boasting a retention level of 93 per cent.

To kickstart 2008, Code has added Crown paints, PZ Cussons, Epson and HBOS-owned contract hire specialists Lex to its already impressive client list that includes HMV, Waterstone's, Kimberly Clark Corporation, Premier Foods, NUS and Hillary's.

And the team is hinting at even more new business wins to come.
