Cocktail creates Vue/Audible brand partnership
Cocktail Marketing has created a brand partnership between Vue Cinemas and Audible.co.uk in support of the National Year of Reading.
From mid-August for six weeks, Audible, a provider of downloadable audio books, is offering every Vue customer two free Star Wars audio downloads when they book to see 'Star Wars - The Clone Wars'.
Vue Cinema fans nationwide can choose the 'Clone Wars' stories or any of the six feature films, from 'The Phantom Menace' through to 'Return of the Jedi'.
For the hardcore fans they have available many of the back stories and spin-offs, including 'The Jedi Academy', 'X-Wing Series' and 'Legacy of the Force'.
The partnership offer will be promoted on the Vue website, which receives 2.5 million visitors per month.

'It is fantastic that such a great entertainment brand and national family venue have come together in this way to support the National Year of Reading.' 'Our first promotion linked to the National Year of Reading was a reading-screening with the recent hit movie 'Prince Caspian', where Georgie Henley, who plays Lucy in the film, read from the book.' Colin Weir, business development manager for Audible, said: 'We are very excited to be working with Vue and the much-loved Star Wars franchise to bring the pleasure of listening to great stories to kids on their iPods and families in the car.'.
