CRM specialist offers complete business solutions
Loughborough-based CRM specialist Concentrix has acquired Taylor Made Technology , one of the largest suppliers of IT solutions in the East Midlands.
The acquisition of Taylor Made Technology enables Concentrix to offer software, hardware and supporting services to cover almost all business processes within a company.
It positions Concentrix as one of the UK's largest resellers of Sage software, and is expected to lead to an increase in their sales of other products as well.
Ian Dawkins, Concentrix founder and Managing Director, said: "TMT's and Concentrix's skills-sets complement each other perfectly and make a powerful combination - we'll be delivering massive gains to our customers".
Since its formation in 1999, Concentrix has grown from a two-man operation to a major UK player in front-office IT software.
Over the past two years, the company's success has become increasingly marked as Concentrix has undergone carefully planned expansion.
The acquisition of TMT will nearly double the size of Concentrix, bringing the number of full-time staff to over 40.
TMT's key focus has been back-office business software, hardware and networking operation.
They will bring a significant client base to Concentrix, gained mainly through personal recommendations.
Commenting on the acquisition, Martin Stannage, Managing Director of TMT, said: "Integration between front and back-office systems brings outstanding benefits to businesses, and that's where the market is heading.
"Bringing TMT and Concentrix together provides an unprecedented source of expertise in the business solutions market".
As an independent CRM specialist, Concentrix supplies 'best of breed' software from vendors such as Microsoft and FrontRange, as well as Sage.
TMT is one of Sage's longest established Business Partners.
Paul Stobart, CEO Sage UK and Ireland, said: "It's great news that two of our key Business Partners are joining forces; their combined technical skills and in-depth business knowledge will provide real benefits to Sage customers".
When asked whether the acquisition of TMT is a major strategic shift for Concentrix, Dawkins answered: "It's in line with our strategy of selectively building our product and service portfolio to offer the greatest benefits to clients; it's a shift in so far as we've gone way beyond the front-office: we'll be providing entire business solutions".
Questioned whether the acquisition will affect how Concentrix positions itself in the market, Dawkins responded: "We have broadened our position so we can help companies improve their efficiency and productivity at every stage of their workflow, not just at the customer interface.
"We'll provide software for all departments - from sales and marketing through to HR and accounts.
"What's more, we'll also provide the hardware, IT network and infrastructure, along with training and ongoing support".
This is the first acquisition for Concentrix and a step it considers an important progression.
Dawkins summarised: "Concentrix will now be a one-stop-shop for complete business solutions".
