NHS Pensions has signed Prolog and Communisis to provide multi-channel communications support for the Pensions Choice scheme.
Pensions Choice gives more than 1.3 million NHS employees the opportunity to transfer their pension benefits from the 1995 Section to the 2008 Section, which has a later normal-retirement age of 65.
Beginning in May 2009, Prolog will support the delivery of 'Choice' through literature fulfilment, e-broadcasting and multi-channel customer service to members, including in-depth telephone help and advice.
Communisis will undertake high-volume direct mail of pension information to scheme members.
This is the second government business win this year for the Prolog and Communisis partnership.
The companies were awarded a six-year contract for integrated publication production, management and delivery by the Department for Children Schools and Families in April 2009.
