Hydravision digital signage showcased at expo

A Netpractise product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Mar 24, 2009

Netpractise is to demonstrate the Hydravision.tv AiO digital signage solution at the Screen Expo 2009.

Hydravision.tv AiO allows organisations to create and run their own on-screen digital channel for enhancing communications and delivering eye-catching infotainment.

Hydravision.tv AiO is ready-to-use straight from the box.

Supporting all Microsoft Windows media file formats it allows organisations to create on-screen messages or play back web-based content.

It can be operated as a standalone solution or can be networked and controlled remotely, and there is no limit to the number of players that can be connected.

Sydenham school in south-east London has recently become one of the first educational establishments to install Hydravision.tv AiO, purchasing two systems for a total investment of GBP2,500.

Sydenham school adopted the Hydravision solution when it became clear that it needed to replace its existing, overly complex and unstable digital signage system.

The installation utilised two existing 42in LCD screens and a 50in plasma screen and involved configuring the media players with the school's server.

This was followed by a day's training for two members of the technical team who are responsible for operating the channel.

The system is maintained by the school's technical support team and Hydravision.tv AiO digital signage software allows authorised users to easily produce templates that divide the screen into multiple windows.

This allows different content - news tickers and live television for example - to be displayed simultaneously and is ideal for large screens.

To date the system has been used to show a mixture of exam work, videos produced by students as part of their media-studies coursework, sports day stills, school productions and artwork, as well as corporate messages, notifications and campaigns.
