CJ counter enhances impulse shopping experience

CJ Services has been tasked with installing a flexible counter unit to maximise product coverage at front-of-store by Mars snack foods for Martin McColl.

The project is aimed to enhance the impulse shopping experience at the newsagent.

CJ Service's objective is to deliver a cost-effective, radically redesigned confectionary counter that combines ease-of-use with visual customer appeal to increase Mars snack food sales.

A survey was conducted over 1,300 sites during a five-week period, gathering information including: counter size and position, with photographs; stock displayed; opening hours; loading, and parking and access facilities.

Survey data was collated and presented to Martin McColl to determine counter unit allocation.

CJ Service prepared the installation schedule and installation was completed over a six-month time period.

Two stores a day were completed by each team of fitters and electricians.

The project was completed ahead of schedule and to the agreed budget, with 70 additional sites added due to its success.
