Celerity consolidates holiday firm customer data
TUI UK, the UK's leading holiday company, has appointed data management specialist Celerity to create a single customer view across its brand portfolio, which includes Thomson and Portland.
This was achieved through changes to internal systems and then offsetting unavoidable CO2 from gas, electricity, staff commuting and company cars.
Celerity's chosen projects for its offsetting comprise the German methane project, Querrien Forestry and Chinese hydro power project, which were all selected for their sustainability, additionality and high-quality management.
The certification qualifies Celerity to use the CarbonNeutral logo when communicating to clients and customers.
Jonathan Shopley, Executive Director at The CarbonNeutral Company, stated: "Celerity is leading the way in the data solutions sector in terms of environmental awareness.
"We are hoping, as we have seen in other industries, to see more companies realising the importance not only to the environment, but to their public image, from becoming carbon neutral".
Jason Lark, managing director at Celerity, added: "The importance of environmental awareness is becoming more and more critical in industry today - we have been inspired by the work some of our clients have done in reducing their carbon footprint and offsetting essential emissions, and we will be closely monitoring the progress of our chosen offsetting projects".
