TUI UK, the UK's leading holiday company, has appointed data management specialist Celerity to create a single customer view across its brand portfolio, which includes Thomson and Portland.

Celerity will work with TUI UK to integrate more than 40 million individual records held by each member of the TUI UK into one central marketing database This single customer view will then be used to develop predictive models to drive all future marketing communications

The project, which goes live this month, will drive optimal customer journeys across all brands and all channels.

The single customer view created by Celerity will encompass transactional, on and offline data from all partners within the TUI UK.

TUI UK carries over 5 million passengers each year to over 80 destinations - on holidays, flights and cruises.

Over 50% of Thomson bookings come via the web - the key website is Thomson.co.uk, which gives customers the opportunity to book online and enjoy podcasts, customer reviews, blog and search using Google Earth.

Bertrand Labays, Marketing Database Manager at TUI UK, said: "Celerity has an established history of delivering successful single customer view solutions coupled with a partnership approach to consultancy, which made them the obvious choice for a project of this size.
