CBS streams footage for UK film premiere

CBS Outdoor has worked with Universal Pictures UK and Mediacom to stream red-carpet footage of the UK premiere of 'The Boat That Rocked' onto 25 LCD screens surrounding Leicester Square.

CBS Outdoor said this was the fastest turnaround of editing, rendering and uploading the media owner has carried out on its outdoor screens.

The one-minute edits of live red-carpet footage, recorded by Sassy Films, were given to CBS engineers at CBS Outdoor and edited within an hour to be transmitted across the screens to maintain the buzz in the square.

The screens, which have been bought on a sole occupancy by Universal Pictures UK, earlier displayed adverts to introduce the five main characters, drive commuters to the event, and promote the release date.

The campaign was planned and booked by Mediacom.
