Capscan adds address functionality for SAP users

Capscan address management products are now certified compatible with comprehensive SAP application range.

Capscan, a leading supplier of international address management solutions and data integrity services, today announced address management products which are now certified for integration with SAP NetWeaverTM, as well as a new SAP batch address cleansing product, available for the first time to UK customers.

This addition builds on a comprehensive range of address management products for SAP applications developed by strategic partner Uniserv, available exclusively from Capscan in the UK.

Address management products post and mail for mySAPTM Business Suite have now been certified as compatible for integration with SAP NetWeaverTM Application Release 6.10.

The products also integrate with SAP R/3 Release 4.6 C, mySAPTM ERP, mySAPTM CRM Release 4.0, as well as industry-specific solutions including IS-M and ISU.

"Combining Uniserv's SAP technology with Capscan's knowledge and expertise in the international data market means we are able to offer these address management products exclusively to UK SAP customers," commented Capscan managing director Terry Hiles.

"The products can be linked with NetWeaverTM, SAP's web technologies, as well as to other applications in the organisation, meaning an organisation can use them as a single solution without the need to purchase other tools for non-SAP applications".

Capscan also provides UK SAP customers with advanced data integration and data cleansing in batch processing through the Batch Cleansing System (BCS), providing a user-friendly work bench.

BCS cleanses files or data from various sources including rental lists, the SAP database and other data from external sources (such as CRM, retail, or Salesforce databases), which can imported into the system.

It can be used standalone or in combination with post and mail for mySAPTM Business Suite and it can also be fully integrated with SAP R/3 Release 4.6 C, mySAPTM ERP, mySAPTM CRM Release 4.0, IS-M and ISU.

Post for mySAPTM Business Suite ensures that only addresses with a valid postcode, place name and street name, correct PO Box number (where applicable) and a correct house number are added to the SAP database.

During the monthly cleansing function, it also enables the automatic checking and correction of addresses and geodata by means of up-to-date and complete reference lists.

Mail for mySAPTM Business Suite reliably prevents the creation of duplicates in the database using automatically initiated checks and matching operations for new entries and alteration of data records.

Specially adapted techniques (phonetics and fuzzy logic) obtain a high quality and selectivity result.

SAP NetWeaverTM is a service-orientated, application builder platform from SAP for integrating business processes across various systems, databases and sources (SAP NetWeaverTM is the interface between SAP applications and is also their runtime environment).
