Cats Protection extends taxi ads
Feline welfare charity Cats Protection has extended its nationwide taxi advertising campaign with Cabvert Media for 2008.
The nature of the promotional task for Floodline required a medium that could communicate a message to a huge target market, and with an average 10.5 million people being exposed to taxi advertising each week, taxi advertising is the one that promised to be the most effective.
Starting this month taxis, provided by Cabvert Media, will be making their way around the roads of UK cities that are most vulnerable to flooding with the objective of providing support to those that may be living in flood risk areas.
The helpline service displayed on the taxis enables flood warnings to be given direct by telephone, mobile, fax or pager and also offers practical advice on preparing for a flood, and what to do if one happens.
Commenting on the partnership, Cabvert's MD Lee Dentith said: "Taxi advertising is a fantastic way of targeting a mixed range of audience.
"At Cabvert, we have the capabilities to reach the necessary areas required and communicate this important message to those at risk".
The taxis, which are branded both inside and out, can be seen on the roads in Ipswich, Norwich, Milton Keynes and Lincoln and will be visible for the next 12 months.
