Leading integrated design agency Bright Blue Day has handed its media relations brief to B2B specialist Buffalo Communications.

Buffalo Communications, the specialist B2B communications consultancy, has been appointed by integrated creative agency Bright Blue Day, to implement the media relations aspect of the company's rebrand and increase Bright Blue Day's media presence.

Bright Blue Day, formerly the Design Group, has hired Buffalo to help communicate its repositioning to marketing and new media decision makers.

BBD will be repositioned in the marketplace as an integrated agency specialising in brand engagement and sustainability.

Buffalo, which has already had a great deal of success in the new media space, has been hired due to its knowledge of the relevant media and in-depth knowledge of the creative industry.

Buffalo's appointment by Bright Blue Day follows a string of account wins for the communications consultancy and the hiring of three new members of staff.

Bright Blue Day, renowned for its work for its many blue-chip clients, which include Toshiba, The British Heart Foundation, Sony and Somerfield, is also engaging Buffalo to help communicate its expanded service portfolio.

David Ford, CEO of Bright Blue Day, commented: "The strategic implementation of a media relations campaign was always going to be the next step for Bright Blue Day as part of our rebrand as an integrated agency.

"We selected Buffalo for their focus on results not activity, a focus that perfectly matches our company ethos".

Kerry Hallard, Managing Director of Buffalo Communications, commented: 'The digital marketplace is a burgeoning and exciting industry space.

"Helping Bright Blue Day to differentiate itself in this crowded space will be a challenge that we will embrace by working to develop industry-leading thought leadership".
