Ethical Trading Initiative - a first for BTC

A BTC Group product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Mar 17, 2008

BTC Group is now a full member of the Ethical Trading Initiative, a unique achievement for a company specialising in the production and supply of promotional clothing and general merchandise.

The ultimate goal of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) is to ensure that the supply chain working conditions of workers producing for the UK market meet or exceed international labour standards.

BTC Group has agreed to do its utmost to comply with the ETI Base Code and to that end Managing Director Frank Murphy and Sales Director Paul Beirne have attended Supply Chain Management workshops at the ETI Headquarters in London.

Murphy commented: "Working with some of the best-known brands in the world it is essential that our clients feel safe in the knowledge that every effort is being made to guard their reputation and prevent association with illegal labour practises".

BTC Group celebrated 30 years of trading in 2007 specialising in market leading promotional and merchandising initiatives, with a full service in-house resource including screen printing, embroidery, design and merchandise programmes with warehousing and fulfilment.
