Southampton City College selects Bright Blue Day

Bright Blue Day has been appointed as lead marketing agency for Southampton City College after a competitive pitch involving four agencies.

Bright Blue Day's remit will be to manage and implement Southampton City College's marketing programme, providing strategy consultancy and creative design.

The fully integrated marketing campaign will include above the line, below the line and ambient media.

It will also encompass street liners, radio, press, direct marketing, literature and tactical pieces.

The first campaign will launch in July and will target adult learners in Southampton - the first time that the college has targeted this audience in this way.

"Adult learners have widely differing requirements and motivations yet we need a carefully crafted message that appeals to all of them," said Julian Willans, Marketing Manager of Southampton City College.

"We believe working with Bright Blue Day will give us the creativity and brand engagement needed to grab the attention of the adult population in Southampton".

Bright Blue Day will be well placed to develop the second phase of the programme, which will be targeted at full-time students aged between 16 and 19 years.

The second phase is set to be launched in 2008.
