Brandbank holds 70,000 images

A Brandbank product story
Edited by the Marketingservicestalk editorial team Oct 2, 2007

Brandbank, the content provider for multichannel retailers, has hit a landmark, now holding a database of more than 70,000 product images, with associated product data for the vast majority.

Brandbank distributes product images and associated product data, such as ingredients and allergy information, to the UK's leading online food and household goods retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose as well as for specialists such as The Wine Society and Koodos.

The images and data are supplied via an online feed so that retailers' websites always have the most up-to-date images and data.

The data can also be used in other marketing material, such as the 15,000 images that Brandbank supplies to Wilkinson for its in-store catalogue.

As well as brands that are available from a number of retailers, Brandbank also holds data for many of the major retailers' own brand products, taking responsibility for liaising with suppliers to ensure the images and data are kept current.

Rob Tarrant, managing director of Brandbank, said: "This is an important milestone for Brandbank - we hold the data for the majority of the food and household products sold through all the UK's high street online grocery stores.

"We are using our market-leading position to explore new ways of using the data for the benefit of their customers".

Brandbank holds images and data for all major UK grocery brands and supplies this data to all UK online grocery retailers, as well as other retailers including Ocado, Asda, Superdrug and Nisa International.
