three

A Shropshire estate agent has recorded a 300% increase in traffic to its website since it was redesigned by BeVivid and relaunched six months ago.

Established as a franchise operation by Marcus Harris in 1998, Harwood Estate Agents has seven offices in Shropshire with a target of 15 planned within the next two years It enlisted the services of Shrewsbury-based marketing and e-business solutions provider BeVivid to create its new website

Marcus Harris, franchisor at Harwood Estate Agents, said: "The new website has been fantastic for us in that not only are more people using the internet to search for property in Shropshire but they are also doing so from outside the county.

"At present we receive 20 genuine online enquiries per day from potential purchasers either looking simply to move locally, relocate to the region or for property in which to invest.

"We have also received interest from people considering the opportunity of setting up a Harwood franchise.

"Each office has its own unique password-protected access and has complete control over content.

"Future development will include offering sellers the option of adding floor plans, their home improvement pack details and a 4D house tour.

"We will also be creating additional pages for law and conveyancing firms to advertise and providing links to their websites".

Peter Riches, MD at BeVivid, said: "The Harwood website already has over 820 pages listed on Google and is in the top five for 'property in Broseley', 'property in Ironbridge' and the top three for 'property in Telford'.

"This is because every time a property is added by a Harwood office our bespoke search engine optimisation (SEO) ensures a new page is listed with Google using the right key words in each title.

"This is a Google search engine friendly site and as Google powers more than half of all searches on the web, there are now over 250 million searches every day; we focus our online marketing strategy in this area.

"The sophistication of today's internet technology enables us to distinguish between simple hits and more importantly a site's unique visitors.

"We can also identify the search words used and adapt our marketing strategy based on profiling visitors to the website.

"Today's real time web statistics are vital to every marketing department and ensure the advertising budget is spent wisely.".
